🔒 POWERTEC 20307 Heavy Duty Latch Action Toggle Clamp Review

. My charcoal grill has burned over 425 degrees without this clamp failing or the red handle falling off. I'm no grilling expert but so far I'm really liking this useful addition to keeping the charcoal access door closed.

Product works well once installed. Attempting to attach the end of the hook is nearly impossible. The nuts go into the U-hook so close to the edges that you can't use a socket or wrench to hold the nut. The clearance is about 1/8 inch so the nut rotates in the bracket and there is little or no holding, especially if you are using a nylon ring nut.

This lock was a perfect match for our almond mesh and nut brush. Makes the radiator very accessible for cleaning so I clean it more often than I used to when the grille was bolted on. I screwed on the attachment part but welded on the small hook part. A lot of my other gear has snap closures on guards, lids etc so I knew what I wanted and this one is perfect.

I bought this for a folding desk, I needed something that could hold quite a bit of weight but was easy to assemble. This bar makes it perfect. I'm giving it four (not five) stars only because the latch was assembled upside down when I received it. Not a big deal, but it took me about 15 minutes to properly assemble the latch, which would not have been necessary if the product had been properly assembled at the factory. However, I definitely recommend this product.
