Very good woodworking clamps

I have made several jigs for table saws and router tables using these clamps. Very good clamps, work easily and reliably. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Holds great on power and hand tools

Bought to make a straight cut jig for my table saw and I love it so much! Even on shorter boards where you only get two clamps they still have ample holding power.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • old

Heavy duty: Hand tool

These Powertec clamps are great for creating a template for trimming tubular rivets. The 500-pound pressure is probably overkill, but caution is advised on a 3-horsepower table saw. Will buy more for future jigs.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some little things

Only three are in the pack

This seems like a solid product but if it doesn't match the listing it gets an automatic discount. The listing clearly says "set of 4" but I only received three. When I called the person was far from helpful and refused to send another piece. Thumbs down.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • is unreliable

They are well made and work well

I have been using these clamps for several years. They work even after repeated use. I wasn't sure why the prices were so much lower than some competitors so I was skeptical at first. After looking at both I haven't found any legitimate difference between the more expensive and these Powertec clamps. Good buy for the money.

  • Alright!

Good clamping capacity

Bought for use on jigs I make. I like the good clamping ability. I bought some longer screws to add length and some amp legs to better "grip" what I'm clamping. Watch Nick Ferry's YouTube video to learn more about replacing the booster legs for better traction. Amp legs are also available from Revain.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • So far so good

Get it!: Clamps

I bought these from USR while on a woodworking tour and they worked really well. I like the ability to adjust the rubber tips for big adjustments. The elongated screw holes are only suitable for very small adjustments. Thanks to the ability to adjust the clamps, I can use boards of different thicknesses and widths on my jig. I will definitely buy them again.

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

very good clamps best in clamps

The construction is really strong and the action is very smooth. They're a bit smaller than the Destaco versions I've seen, but that shouldn't be a problem. The screws are standard 5/16 threads, not metric. So if you want to secure the clamps, that's no problem. (If you do, Amazon sells tips that come with four 1/2" canes that go well with standard 5/16 studs: Essential Medical Supply T50012g Quad Cane Tips, Grey, 1/2". Bottom line great price and quality.
