Good product for hand tools

Clamps are very good durable products. The only downside is that the threads are a bit loose. I can tighten it but it seems to come loose fairly easily.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Clarity

Great for lighting fixtures

They are a lot cheaper than lever clamps sold elsewhere (Woodcraft etc). They aren't as strong as the more expensive clamps but I've used them on a tenon and slide tool and they hold up great.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Small clamps when you need them

Used for attachments for my saws and router table. It serves its purpose and doesn't take up much space, which was important to me. The clamping force is sufficient. The rubber heads tend to flex if they're too tight, and what you're holding can move a bit, so be aware of that. These are medium weight clamps, not as heavy as my Destacos. They work great for what they were designed for.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Quality

great clamp best clamp

I have a wood shop and too many jigs to count. I have used adjustable clamps to secure work pieces in some of my jigs. I finally broke down and bought some of these toggle switches and to my delight they work even better than I expected. The rubber-tipped clamp is mounted on a threaded rod that attaches to the clevis with a nut at the top and a nut at the bottom, allowing it to be fully adjustable in height and distance from the body of the cup. I think I'll add a few more to my wish list. hope

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not automatic

You'd think they would come with screws

They DO NOT come with everything you need to make them clampable. Since they have screw holes and are called "lever clamps," you'd think they'd give you what you need to actually clamp something. But no, you have to buy your own screws to attach it to something and turn it into a clip. I thought it was just a mistake so I got a second set but same problem - no screws. I will make sure I never buy PowerTech again as they clearly sacrifice quality for the price. I tried to save a few bucks but it

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

I've had some difficulty using these toggle clamps. Before you buy a mug, be sure to familiarize yourself with the different styles, how to properly set up mugs, and how to use them in your projects. This would be helpful in choosing the best style for your application. I also watched some videos on some very interesting uses. I thought I knew how they were supposed to work but unfortunately we don't read the instructions. I intend to keep them and build suitable devices to use them…

Pros
  • Construction: Cold rolled carbon steel clamp, low height, compression adapter for easy depth adjustment and maximum clearance
Cons
  • Not sure

Not the best - hand tool

I have a few clamps of this type in my home workshop that are used in various jigs. I recently bought two of these for homemade coping sleds. While fulfilling their intended function, they are definitely inferior to others in my inventory. Disadvantages: 1) The locking mechanism is activated before the swivel arm reaches the horizontal position (for horizontal fixation of the base), so the threaded rod is not perpendicular to the clamped workpiece; and 2) the threaded rod is too short to reach…

Pros
  • Clamp specifications: 1-7/16" base x 1-5/16" | Mounting slots 1/4" x 3/16" spaced 1" x 7/8" | Bolt length including grommet: 1-7/8"
Cons
  • old

Excellent, easy to use, easy to install

This is my first use of lever clamps after decades of using star/ball/etc. Grips through the slots on the threaded rod. While the grip/handlebar solution has uses, I'd probably go with these clamps if the solution could call for both. I use them to hold my router fence in place and they are great. I installed them parallel to the fence on blocks a little thinner than the countertop. They securely fix the fence without much effort in installation and use. The four bolt holes have a little play…

Pros
  • Includes: (4) Horizontal Quick Release Lever Clamp
Cons
  • Legacy Model
