Easy to make, difficult to clean

I've been using pre-made beeswax casings for about a year. Although I love them, they are expensive and lose wax with use. So I wanted to wax my existing capes and make new ones out of fabric that my kids would love. This product seemed perfect. The wax was very easy to use. I used the whole bar in one night and made 12 rolls (6 sandwiches and 6 appetizers). When I finished, cleaning was difficult. This wax bar is really gooey. It's easy if you follow the instructions.

I bought these wax sticks because it was all in one and I didn't have to measure or guess. I have never made wax packs but I have used them and loved them. The website gives simple instructions and with very little practice you will be on the right track. I made some pretty big wraps and ended up melting 15 instead of 20. These sticks you melt (just for this purpose I bought a big glass bowl and some cheap brushes. I put the fabric on a big baking sheet and painted it with wax. My first try was

Learning curve

First experience in the production of beeswax cloths. There was definitely a learning curve using this product and probably making the wraps myself. I thought it would be easy to rub and "sprinkle" the beeswax, but it turned out to be a daunting task. We found that the most helpful way to use this product effectively was to cut off pieces and melt them using the steam method.
