Not as described in the rivets

I never write reviews but the description is misleading. If I had taken the time to read the reviews I would not have bought. Rivets are not aluminum as advertised, steel bars will rust and corrode. Unfortunately this is one of the few products that I was unable to request a refund for due to the misleading description. As many complaints I see here, Revain should solve this problem.

MAKE. NO. TO BUY. in Rivets

IT'S NOT ALL ALUMINIUM. MEASUREMENTS ARE NOT ACCURATE. The mandrel is made of steel, which is clearly not ideal if you're using it to repair an aluminum bottom on a fishing boat. They appear to be measured from the head to the end of the spike, not the length of the handle. The 3/4" rivets are closer to 1/2" and were significantly shorter than the 5/8" rivets I bought at my local Ace hardware store. I don't leave reviews but they pissed me off.

It is NOT all aluminum - REASONS Corrosion

Steel center pin. I tried very hard to get ALL aluminum by reading all the specs and reviews of many rivets. I'm building a custom product with a very strong magnetic field and I shouldn't use a trivalent (ferrous) material. ALSO there is an electromechanical/chemical fact called dissimilar metals (aka galvanic corrosion). Two different types of metals coming into contact in a humid environment (e.g. in boats) will cause one of those metals to corrode. When steel and aluminum are togetherโ€ฆ
