Cabin filter K&N - excellent!

This filter was installed on a 2013 Hyundai Tucson GLS. I have always used K&N engine filters and this is my first purchase of a cabin filter. I'm glad I don't have to buy another filter anymore! The strange smell disappeared from the car immediately and it doesn't have the oily smell that others have complained about. Installing cabin air filters was easy for any vehicle that had one. This filter was very neat when fitted to our car but it worked great!

Excellent product (as always) from K&N

Excellent product (as always) from K&N. The amount of dust and other particles in the cabin air of my 2016 Tucson Limited Ultimate has really been reduced. SUPER easy to install. (Some weren't sure which side was up, and I'm really not sure if it matters, but I think the right way is to find the font on the side of the filter and make sure it's aligned with the correct side up and where to read it before replacing the fan assembly cover.) Will be repurchased for any vehicle this replaces.

Great filter so far

I bought this for my 16 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, R Spec. The factory cabin air filter was replaced about 15,000 miles ago by a $25.99 car thief with a $139.71 "job" exactly 12 months ago. An OEM filter is nothing more than cheap paper glued to both sides of a hard plastic rectangle. Mine was filled with all kinds of dirt, leaves and pollen. After replacing mine I saw an immediate improvement in fan flow as the marijuana smell was removed when driving downtown, this filter wasn't good enough for…

Good product support in US

The first filter I received was the wrong product so initially I had a problem with this order. However, after emailing K&N (I didn't do so until a few months after purchase as I hadn't opened the product), I received a reply the next day that I would be getting a new one for free. . This hassle-free product support is the reason I bought this and will continue to buy K&N. The filter works well too. Compared to my moderately used OEM disposable filter, as others have said, this one has…

Poor filtration

Usually after 12,000 miles my paper filter is covered in dirt, dust and leaf fragments. After 12,000 miles this filter seems to be picking up very little. It captures the obvious leaf fragments, which are quite large. Looking at a used filter in a bright backlight will show that large portions of the filter are fairly clean while smaller portions are black. I suspect the black color is dirt trapped in the oiled portion of this filter. I expected most of it to be black with dirt. I do not…

Worth every penny. The air smells clean, it's high quality, it fits perfectly, and costs less than retailers charge for the paper substitutes they like to sell - you know, the ones we're all too smart to buy because we replace them ourselves, by buying them. . for a tenth the cost of Revain. Definitely if you use your air conditioner all the time because you've been using it for more than half a year like I did in Arizona; then this is the perfect solution so you don't have to buy those tenths…

Better than Fram Fresh Breeze.

I used to have regular paper filters and they suck, then I switched to Fram Fresh Breeze (2 years) and they were better, but these KNN cabin filters are even better, they are the best at blocking fumes. Both were not 100% but still better than Fram's fresh air filters and they have better airflow too. Now when I run my fan on level 2 it seems to run on level 2.5 compared to paper filters, the only thing is that it smells a bit like rubber but I hope this smell will go away within a month, but…

Who likes to buy replacements?

I've been using reusable filters for a long time. To put it into simple math, most cabin air filters cost close to $20 and last about 20,000 or less, depending on the terrain you ride. If you had to buy more than 1 filter, it was already worth it. Will it filter the air in your car with a HEPA rating of 1/10 micron? No. But even if it did, it wouldn't matter. What people don't realize is that there are dozens of ways for air to get into your car through all sorts of little holes in gaskets…
