Wrong design, suitable for engine cooling and air conditioning

Has been deactivated because a pin was rotated incorrectly! It's hard to find a new resistor for mine for less than $400. The quality looks ok.

Pros
  • OE fan motor resistor replacement, fits directly

  • Does not work

The permanently installed fan only runs at maximum.

This fixed my problem with the 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer version. My air only blew when it was at altitude and this drag fixed that. Please note that this particular part is for the ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) system. This also applies when ordering mixed door parts. The part was replaced under the hood, not behind the glove box. A1 Auto has a good video of the steps to replacing this resistor.

Pros
  • Compatible with Ford Explorer Mercury Mountaineer 1998-2001
Cons
  • Repair
