I buy these because I like them and I'm a Star Trek fan. I noticed the quality is different as this is my third belt buckle. The first lasted about 2 years because the weld connecting the ring that the belt rests on broke the welded pin, the second belt lasted about 3 months because the part of the buckle that fits the holes in the belt was welded Belt. broke up. I had to return the first one due to cuts and scratches, the specter was dark yellow and not white and there were large bubbles in the design. I have the second one, it glows more yellow in the dark, not white, with no scratches or scuffs and only 2 blisters. Not happy but since I don't want to wait a third try and wear it to the Ghostbusters convention in Colorado I'll look into it.

The painting is perfect in the photo. Looks metallic and white is white. Personally it's not metallic, the red is a deep red and I have 3 or more blisters in the color that can't be fixed. White and off-white that looks like it glows in the dark so I was cool. nope Doesn't glow in the dark either. I think you get what you pay for, but a Chinese knockoff will be of a higher quality than this and probably cheaper.

Good size buckle. Good weight and good details. Scratches easily (minus 1 star) and fingerprints, but polishes easily. (fingerprints) I would like the star to be black, but that's personal preference. Overall very happy with this buckle.

Bought as a Christmas present for my dad and he absolutely loved it! The buckle is a good size, the metal is strong and thick, solid metal, not a flimsy costume.
