Very good item, fairly easy to install although a bit difficult to align everything together as the piston pressure is high by design.

They fit my 2002 BMW 540i perfectly, work perfectly and are easy to fit. I couldn't be happier. Probably saved a lot of money by buying these instead of original BMW parts.

Everything is fine except now I need two hands and a lot of strength to close the trunk, it's too much pressure. It's still better than paying $20 for each meter from the parking lot.

Compresses too much - it took so much effort to put on that the head was cracked and the paint near the counter was scratched. Save yourself the headache and damage to your car and pay $50 for OEM.

Very good but I only need one thing. The trunk lid on my 2001 525 closed very easily and closed by itself when parked on an incline. I installed both new racks and it was actually too difficult to close. Put in an old rack and now everything is perfect.

The old ones took about 15 minutes to be replaced after watching a youtube video. The hardest part was removing the clips from the top connectors. I mounted the new supports with no problem, although the top didn't just slide off. They can be a fraction of a second shorter. I had to force the trunk lid back as far as possible. You will definitely keep the lid on your truck open. They are more rigid than the original designs, maybe even too rigid. But no more banging your head!

Since they have such great power, I started putting just one, but then changed my mind and put another.
