📻 High-performance PRESIDENT Ronald 10 Meter Radio: Unmatched Quality and Range Review

I've had quite a few 10/11 meter setups in my time, including another President radio. The President Ronald is by far the most feature rich and stepless setup I have ever had. The mic is a bit crappy so consider getting a good second mic and you'll be respected in the air.

I replaced my little cobra that stopped working after only a few years. I hope this one lasts longer. This radio sounds good and I've already had some good QSO's from the American CB group. I hope to last at least 6 years with it because it costs 6 times more than a cheap Cobra or Uniden. At the moment it's easy to use, sounds great and has great transmission and reception. Longevity refreshes when he dies.

I ordered this radio in April and it rattled right out of the box. Something is obviously loose inside. I returned it and received a replacement very quickly. The 10m ham band is designed to be used depending on the time of day/solar activity. Three days ago I realized that the area opened up (became available for broadcasts) in the late afternoon, so I tried to contact some remote operators. I heard fine from Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver and North Carolina but no one seemed to be getting my CQ. I

Lots of features but don't be fooled by weekend commercials. 50% modulation, 15W RMS and 25W Pep is what mine does without hooking it up to a tone generator. Turn it down to 1.5W and it pumps back up to 5 pep with no tone generator. On the tone generator it works as advertised but I don't know anyone who can talk to it. Otherwise I really like the radio.
