The first time I took this pack out of the box my cat went nuts. He firmly believes that this is not food, but THE GREATEST PLEASURE. Same bag, and when I pulled out one of the food pieces, he danced! I could not believe my eyes! He's really fond of it too, so I guess I'll have to get this into a regular rotation with his regular Honest Kitchen food (which I've been stretching with it while waiting for my next subscription delivery).

Bought to try after seeing how well it was rated on the cat food database website. My cats are old and losing weight. I liked the displayed body fat percentage. This is my first experience with freeze dried foods. You won't touch him. It just looks unappetizing and seems to have a weird texture. I mixed a small amount into their regular wet food, also tired of real store bought turkey (which they love). They ate something and then one of them vomited. waste of money for me.

I'm still trying to figure out what my senior cat will like instead of dry food. So far so good, he mostly eats it if I put warm water in it, although lately he's only been eating 50/50 canned food. The downside is that it's expensive, but a raw food diet for pets is the general rule. It does smell, but it's really freeze-dried raw meat, so you'll notice it when you add water. This is great food; Our middle aged boy took it straight away and ate it in one sitting while feeding. He lost all of the "nutritional insecurity" he previously had when his (very high quality) food bowl was empty. This food satisfied him so much that we now keep very few pieces in his bowl.
