I bought this to connect orchestral gear - amplifiers, powered speakers, keyboards etc. A lot of this is done in limited lighting conditions (bars, nightclubs etc) and the lighted ends really help to make the right connection . They also feel durable and don't kink like cheaper cables. While it's not cheap, you probably get what you pay for.
