I have bought several of these lines for outdoor use. The cables needed to be permanently installed and I needed something strong enough to withstand the elements. I bought them at a great price and am happy with their performance. The illuminated plug is also a good feature for my purposes, I can see at a glance whether the circuit is receiving power. Yes, they do get a bit stiff in cold weather, but since I closed them after a run, that didn't bother me. In moderate conditions the lines were very easy to work with and felt well constructed. Time will tell how long they last but after 1 year I am very satisfied.
