Tastes way better than Keurig capsules

I use 5 large heaping spoons of ground coffee (Folgers) and pour under 3 diamonds on the filter and pour water just under 3 diamonds on the filter spout. I turn the stove on high until it starts to ooze, then turn it down to low so it doesn't overflow. I let the coffee pot steep for 3-5 minutes depending on how strong I want the coffee to be. The device comes with actual instructions, but I figured out how to do it. 😁This gives me about 40-50 ounces of coffee. Tastes way better than Keurig and

Probably good for camping or emergencies.

Looks like a vintage Mirro listed on eBay. There is no cup level marking on either the inside or outside of this Primula model. Limited instructions suggest not pouring water down the first three openings on the neck (inside) to avoid boiling over. There's no name on it anywhere. The packaging says Made in China. When first used there was a residue/stain on the inside of the pot. The inner surface seems to be unfinished for this. On the plus side, the stem, basket, and basket lid are all…

Pretty cool and cheap

I had several reasons for the purchase. a young kid in the 60's, that's how my parents made coffee every day, and finally I've heard that with our modern electric coffee makers, the Peculator brews the 'best' cup of joe as it constantly circulates over the coffee. basically only grinds once and you're done while the electric one and it uses less coffee. The cons I've found so far are that it's supposed to be 9 cups, not sure what 'they' consider a cup, but in the REAL world that means about 3…

Take the time to learn how to use the percolator.

Arrived on time, no damage. Nicely polished. Your simple aluminum coffee pot. Plastic perk indicator on top. Some people scoff at plastic rather than glass, but this plastic doesn't get that hot and is unlikely to shatter if you drop it on a hard surface. Reading the reviews here has been interesting so I'll try to add my two cents to the discussion. First off, the measuring cup is 8 ounces. This is an ordinary "cup" of coffee. The typical coffee mug a mom keeps in her cupboard weighs only…
