Connect to an externally powered USB hub, this cable uses more USB power!

This long cable serves my purpose of connecting a printer remotely. However, it creates some current resistance (I assume this is normal for a long cable). You may have a problem connecting to a "weak" USB port. Initially I had a problem: the delivery status of the printer was not displayed, the test page was not printed, basically a bad connection between the printer and the laptop. After connecting an external USB hub, the problem disappeared. It needs a MORE POWERFUL USB port to control it.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Is good. for cables and connections

Cables are difficult to assess. There are no moving parts. They usually don't cause any problems. This one seems well made (and I like the gold ends). I bought this cable because I suddenly experienced a 1 1/2 second delay when playing music from my Mac, meaning the first 1 1/2 seconds of a song (or even a YouTube narration) was just missing . After speaking to Apple, my tech/rep suggested that my USB cable had too much resistance. As it worked fine for many months this seemed unlikely but I…

Connectors are too big, unreliable

The Type A connector is a bit big, it took me a lot more effort to plug it into the connectors of 2 different laptops and I was afraid that it is so could damage some ports. It doesn't seem very reliable either, one laptop could barely see a device through this cable and couldn't use it, another laptop had no such issues, but I'm still not sure how much to trust this cable, but I'm still not sure how much I can trust this cable turns.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Perfect uninterrupted connection

I use this cable to connect a scanner at the other end of a large room to a USB hub connected to my computer. It works great and stays in touch even at long lengths. It is of excellent quality, fits into the printer port on the back of the copier/printer/scanner and sends a signal to my computer. Highly recommended when you need to connect a printer/scanner over a long distance.

  • Elegant design

Good quality 25ft USB 2.0 printer cable

I used this 25ft USB 2.0 cable from an HP 2.0 laptop port directly to the USB 2.0 -Connected the HP 7640 printer port I uninstalled my printer in the control panel and then reinstalled the printer by selecting the USB cable setup. Bingo worked. I thought I would have to send the cable back. My print is faster and more reliable than my previous ethernet and wireless connection. My printer is now faster every time I press a button. I am very happy with this cable.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in black only

1. doesn't work, 2. doesn't work either

1. Cable doesn't work with my microphone. I have a shorter cable so I have to assume the problem is with that cable. The replacement will be delivered tomorrow. Hope it works better. The exchange didn't work either. Both were returned.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Only available in white

Good basic item, reasonable price

I needed to free up some desk space and this extension helped me achieve my goals. In this age of technology, space is of the essence. This is a quality cable at a reasonable price. RECOMMENDED John J Hogan.

Good Quality 25ft USB 2.0 Printer Cable

I connected this USB 2.0 25ft Cable from my HP 2.0 laptop jack directly to my HP 7640 USB 2.0 Jack Printer. It didn't work at first so I uninstalled my printer in the control panel and then reinstalled the printer selecting the USB cable setup. Bingo worked. I thought I would have to send the cable back. My print is faster and more reliable than my previous ethernet and wireless connection. My printer is now faster every time I press a button. I am very happy with this cable.

defective computer accessories and peripherals

course. when you connect this cable to the device, to your computer. You get this nice little call saying the device is recognized. But is it really like that? I spent 45 minutes on the phone with my vinyl cutter's tech support, only to find out that the cable was to blame for the missing connection. only after all the troubleshooting did he mention the cable. then I grabbed another cable and. Spring. you guessed the device worked fine. Of course. maybe it's because my plotter is old. no I've…

People who use USB cables for a living should be aware that printers are not USB 2.0 -Can use cable longer than 16 feet. I assumed - although it wasn't in the descriptions so it's my fault - that when it comes to selling 25ft cables, they know what they're doing. Well, the cable didn't work. The printer is fine and now works with another 25ft cable with active boost chips, but when connected to this cable it turned out to be dead. So no problem with ordering, packing and shipping, it's just…
