Ideal for extending USB ports

I used this to extend the USB port on my 3D printer's control board. The USB port is required for firmware. I would have to remove 16 screws from the bottom of the printer to access the circuit board. I drilled a round hole and then installed it behind it, running a wire to a connector on the control board. Works perfectly!

Pros
  • This scanner cable has a data transfer rate of up to 480 Mbit/s for USB 2.0 devices, the printer cable is backward compatible with USB 1.1 Full Speed (12 Mbit/s) and USB 1.0 Low Speed (1.5Mbps).
Cons
  • There are new competitors

PLEASE READ THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY!

, I bought this product for two similar 3D printer builds/mods. Aside from not reading the description fully, I did not read the reviews fully either. The product itself is fairly basic and of good quality but beware - it only includes a 90 degree extension although the photos show 2. Now I have to buy another one and it goes without saying it will be from a different seller. I lose an important deadline because I now have to wait for the second. Otherwise I would have sent it back and boughtโ€ฆ

Pros
  • USB 2.0 Printer Extension Cable is ideal for connecting scanners and printers to fingerprint access control systems, CNC machines, banking equipment, industrial motherboards, compatible with HP, Officejet, PhotoSmart, Canon, Lexmark, Epson, Dell, Xerox, Samsung, etc.
Cons

Great USB cable for Arduino projects and limited space!

Working on an Arduino project that has very limited space, and in that limited space I didn't have room for the standard female end of the Arduino USB cable and had to remove the entire side my project box just to upload code to my project. that is, until I found this most epic cable. Because this cable has a 90 degree twist, I was able to plug it into the Arduino and attach the other end to the wall I removed earlier. I finally have a clear and consistent way to upload my code to my projectโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The rectangular design allows the use of a short printer extension cable, which can be connected to USB 2.0 peripherals in a small space to solve printing problems.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
