Unfortunately I had to realize that I'm just not a kite.

To be honest I've never managed to keep a kite in the air. I live in Oregon and go to the coast several times a year. Bought this kite hoping to finally be able to fly a kite. The day I tried to use it the wind was up to 20mph but didn't seem constant so the kite didn't last long. I think the plus is who wants to be on the beach with a constant wind. I gave it 4 stars because I feel it was mainly operator error and appeared to be of good quality. Deducted 1 star because instead of impressing…

Strings Tangle Nightmare

Read the reviews - everything says it's easy to use for beginners and handy for anyone wanting to learn how to fly a kite. Even read reviews with kids using it. I'm no genius but I do martial arts, extreme sports, run my own business and consider myself capable of accomplishing most things I set my mind to. It didn't matter with this kite because unfortunately whoever built it sent it to us already entangled. The blue and red lines crossed at the junction with the dragon. That made flying…

One steering line on each kite was 6 inches longer than the other.

I bought two of these kites for my girls. Although the kites appear to be very well built and strong, each kite has a steering line. were about 6 inches longer than the others, resulting in the kite deploying immediately at launch. Once I could get the kite airborne, I had to keep my arms at different lengths to maintain vertical flight. This made kite flying impossible for my girls. The odd thing is that on one kite the red line was 6 inches too long and on the other the blue line was too…

I was delighted with this kite

As a child I had several kites. They all sucked. They were too difficult to set up, or when I installed them I broke them, broke spikes or whatever it was that broke. I have taken this kite many times. I love that everything is already attached and ready to use. The first was in a park where there wasn't enough wind to fly. The closest was on the beach where there was a nice 10-15mph wind and I really got it blowing up. I've only flown single line kites without destroying them. You hold the…

Prism synapse 140.KAAA-CHIN!

Full disclosure. I am very stingy when buying toys. I love spending money on toys, but nothing annoys me more than buying something kids rarely use and then just throwing it away! Keep this in mind. I am an experienced pilot. From other stunt kites and various RC cars to a full-size two-seat air conditioner. But now I'm teaching my 10-year-old son to fly. We have some radio controlled things but when it gets too windy they turn them off. I really should have put more effort into stunt kiting…
