Pro Series A-Frame Jack 1401000303 Review

Maybe it's normal but I don't know yet as there were no instructions or hardware in the kit. So I don't know what nuts and bolts or sizes he needs! And I'm a bit new to this, so I haven't figured out what to do with this pen yet; it definitely won't start!

The jack on my trailer was damaged and very difficult to use. The exchange took about 5 minutes and this one is going much smoother. As others have noted, it gets in the way when I open the truck's tailgate, but I don't see it as a problem, just a trade-off if you need the height when it's extended.

I have a 1970's caravan and it fits right in. I had to enlarge the bottom hole in the A frame a bit, about 1/16 inch. It was very close. And I was glad it was just a matter of installing. My trailer weighs about 2500 pounds and it goes up and down easily.

The movement of the jack is smooth, the jack is well built. When fully extended the jack has very little play so rocking is not a problem. The crank is made of durable chrome steel and feels very heavy. I had a clearance problem until I found this jack. The jack retracts almost to the hitch frame of my trailer so towing is no longer a problem.

So far so good. I want a jack that retracts a lot and leaves less space between the trailer frame and the base of the jack. I've survived 3 jacks that bent due to lack of clearance (including the jack that came with a trailer from the factory). This pulls into the frame and works fine for my application. Edit: Unfortunately, this is bad company. While the description is clearly wrong, "customer service" does not apply. The only contact was an email exchange where they refused to take any responsibility even after providing photos and measurements. I ordered based on her description but I have to send it back to her at my own expense, for a £20 jack it's a bad decision. A tempter's caveat, I guess. Avoid dealing with them in the future. I have no complaints about the quality of the product but I wish they could describe it a bit better. This bushing didn't work for me due to the small distance from the mounting bracket to the bottom of the outer tube (about 3 inches). Seems to be a solid A-frame jack. The main reason I got this one is that I needed more clearance as my original jack couldn't rotate enough. The jack plate had slipped when driving through a depression in the road. Usually when approaching a gas station or a country road. This latch comes to the tongue and solves my problem.
