🚲 Enhance Your Riding Experience with ProTaper 022822 Handlebar Brackets Review

Needed 1 1/8" clamps to replace the factory handlebars on my DR650 with thick handlebars. NOTE: You will need OEM bolts for this. These are good quality clamps.

Used these to replace the stock stem posts on a 2001 CR125R. They fit perfectly with the factory sockets. No change was required. They look and work great in combination with the ProTaper EVO handlebar.

Can't beat a professional skittle. Fasteners are strong and reliable. The bar was perfect. Wouldn't choose any other mount. Love it. However, if you want to do what I did. The bolts that came with the kit are too long to fit in the top fork so I just used some 10mm bolts and sanded one edge and then rounded the other corners. Turned my 07 gsxr1000 into a different bike. Comfortable as always.

Was a Pro Taper thick 1 1/8 bar with 7/8 clamp adapter, ordered these, removed my 7/8 clamps, drilled washers to 1/2"(stud size which the Clamps on the top triple clamp) on tapered rubber bushings that were OEM, discarded the OEM spacers, installed them on standard holes (no need to drill the top triple clamp, the holes are big enough) with a modified OEM bushing and tightened the specs in the instructions that came with the clamps worked PERFECTLY on my DRZ400SM.

I needed these brackets to fit ProTaper 1.125" Evo bars to my 2018 Vstrom 1000. Factory brackets are for 7/8" bars. Boot You have 2 simple options: Buy OEM Vstrom XT mounts (expensive) or buy 1.125" ProTaper mounts and adapt them to the bike. You will need to reuse the existing bolts that attach the brackets to the upper tie rod. The ProTaper screws are too thick to slip through. Ride off-road and off-road with this setup and so far so good.

Used these to mount my Adventure Bars on my 1977 Yamaha XS650 Tracker/Scrambler. They screw well and easily through standard rubber grommets. For the XS650 types use the OEM steel top washer but discard the bottom for the included (wide) washer with these risers as the Pro Taper bolt is too thick to fit through the factory bottom washer/plate hole . If only Pro Taper could make a complete 7/8" curved adventure bar we wouldn't have to spend $$ on riser mods. but they don't, so we do. At least I…

Purchased for a 2011 Suzuki DR650 Pro Taper Contour Woods High Handlebar. The mount is of good quality. These will be installed on the DR650 if you are using the original screws as the screws provided are not designed to be installed in the DR. These brackets are not compatible with the TCI windshield as the screw heads are countersunk in the bracket. Great product for increasing handlebar diameter from 7/8" to 1 1/8". This must be said to those who do not understand what it is. This. are. Adapter. They will not fit every rod size you have. It is "universal" because it can be used with any top clamp of any make/model with built-in mounts for a 7/8" handlebar set. If you need loose ends, this isn't for you.
