After new brakes have been broken in and driven several kilometers, they sometimes squeak when braking. More common with hard, hard braking. Maybe it's just the harder pad material. They brake perfectly, there are no complaints about performance.

Second order and use of Akebono Pads. These really fit! We have been using Wagner thermal silencers for many years. They never fit right, we always have to grind down the tabs or they get stuck or the inside wears out and the outside stays brand new. Not these akebos! They fit perfectly! Also noticeably LESS dust than Wagner pads. The pedal still feels firm under braking and they engage as they should. Use Akebono from now on. Keep it up! Great product Made in USA!

I bought these to replace some of the horrible TRW pads I installed just 20 days ago. Akebono has a good reputation so I decided not to skimp on pads. I did a fairly thorough brake service, cleaned the slide pin cylinders with brake cleaner and cotton swabs, cleaned all the components with a wire brush, put new boots on the caliper slide pins and even put new bushings on the 2 guide pins with a rubber insert.
