COSTS MONEY! on tripods and monopods

I use this tripod to support the Nikon D3300 Power Grip and Nikon 200-500mm lens for nature photography. This tripod is stable both in the forest and on hard ground. Other reviewers have noted that this tripod is a bit heavy, I don't think so. A well made tripod for the price. As a note in the mail, I also use this tripod with 20 X 100 binoculars and it works very well.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Problems

BROKEN ON FIRST TIME USE

The ring you tighten around the center of the tripod to hold the legs in place sucks! It's made out of cheap flimsy plastic and broke on the first try to tighten it! They're practically useless to me now that I bought them to mount my Ronin M on, but now the legs won't stay in place when there's a lot of weight on them. This would be INCREDIBLE if this were corrected as the rest of the legs are mostly metal.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Vulgarity

A very well built tripod

The developers of this tripod obviously work with cameras because the design concept is very good. The width of the legs can be adjusted to provide the necessary stability at the foot. The best part is that the legs can be adjusted independently and still have splayed support. I've seen some comments about the weight which I wouldn't call heavy. Weight contributes to stability in my opinion. I am very very satisfied with this purchase.

Pros
  • is understandable even for an old
Cons
  • Can damage

Screw lost, spare part needed.

This is my fourth tripod purchase in three years (my first professional purchase). This is a very solid tripod, it's heavy but strong. However, I managed to lose a bolt from the leg stretcher assembly that attaches the leg to the center column. I was able to temporarily fix this with cable ties. I would like to know if there is a way to contact Pro Am for replacement parts?

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Basically okay, but...

Good tripod but it has a weakness

I really liked this tripod and would give it five stars but the ring that connects the adjustable struts from the legs to the center post is gone after use of the tripod simply snapped a few times making attachment impossible. I returned it but I hope they reinforce this part in a future release as I will easily buy it again. The ring appears to be very thin and may be ceramic metal. I would suggest it's much thicker and machined by a factor of two or three. I would still recommend this tripod…

Pros
  • shiny
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

I would give the product a 4/5 but the customer service was good enough to deserve an extra star. The tripod is very solid and well made. I love that you can adjust the legs independently, but the leg clips are difficult to open and close at times. It's quite heavy, but for video recording, the weight adds extra stability. The bag is not very good to be honest. It sounds like a paper fold when you move it, takes 5 minutes to slip a tripod in, even then it barely fits and it's not well padded…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Crumpled

Preferably. Tripod. JE.

I bought this stand to support the Cinetics Axis 360 motorized slider with 2 motors when it is angled or vertical. Manfrotto) that I can use as my main travel tripod. About 3 minutes after receiving this amazing tripod, my philosophy changed. Another reviewer called the build quality of this tripod "epic". This may be an understatement. This thing can definitely handle 80 pounds easily. For $120! Some may find it too difficult. It's probably around 9 pounds, but to me the extra weight that…
