Everything about this case is thin and hard. There is no soft pad. This offers very little protection. If you put glass in hard plastic and drop it on a hard surface, it will break. What is needed is soft leather material or soft TPU plastic to absorb the impact. I wish other tablet manufacturers had good iPad cases. Tried a different type of case that was more like a case with a frame around the outside of the screen. Because of this, it was a RUSH to swipe from the edge of the screen. This case, on the other hand, does NOT cover ANY part of the screen. It's the exact same model I had on my old Nexus 7.
