I have the clear one and it's definitely "frosty" and doesn't show through. It's not as tactile, but there is a slight what I would call a "satin" feel. It fits the MacBook Pro 2019 well and I don't think it will be easy to take it off. But folks, folks don't joke about fingerprints. The "gummy" and frosty look makes fingerprints appear almost black at certain angles. I wonder what this plastic contains? In general, such a price is normal, there are no other options.

I found the top case a little tricky to install, but if you install the side near the bottom of the screen (folding side) first and then snap the side along the top of the screen, it will snap tight. It's hard to tell which side of the upper case is which, but look for three clips along one side, these are the clips that snap into the top edge of the screen. The lower part is easy to assemble. This is the second product I have bought. The first was for an older MBP and I've had it on my laptop for years with no problems. This one started out the same way, but recently got a "slight" bump at the top corner. I didn't think anything of it. Well, I was about to open it and the corner broke off. I'm sure someone older has experienced more abuse than this case. So I think the quality has changed over the years since I first bought it.

I was very happy with the product until accidental use of the laptop caused me to notice tears running through the edges which didn't bother me too much as it was still in working condition. To be honest, this case is quite easy to install. In terms of durability and scratch resistance, it is below average. I really liked this cover. Pros: Transparent Affordable Came with a keyboard cover that didn't have a COATED APPLE LOGO! Delivered nicely and arrived undamaged. Cons: The screen case (chosen for a new Mackbook) didn't fit my 16" Macbook Pro. But the bottom shell made it. In height it was 1-2 mm less. Damn. Although the keyboard cover fits well.
