Not difficult at all. watch the video

This is not a hard spring. For a whip in the 2 meter range it might be ok. "Heavy Duty" is definitely not. Watch a video recorded at 50 miles per hour. But inside the copper wire. The supplied hairpin is too short.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Only available in black

It's spring. the best for portable audio and video

This is spring. Nothing more to say. And if you're interested. This spring has a wire running from top to bottom down the center of the spring for a fully tuned signal. Although nothing builds as well as it used to. CB springs and hardware were much better built for their time.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some bugs

Good nib, poor hardware finish

The nib itself looks decent with a nice chrome finish. However, the threading is very sloppy and makes the attachment very "doubtful". The threads are too big for a firm grip, pulling too hard on just one hair will most likely break the threads in my opinion. I would not buy again.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • No mold required

Good spring, bad hardware finish

The spring itself seems decent with a good chrome finish. However, the thread processing is very sloppy and makes the attachment very "doubtful". The threads are too big for a firm grip, pulling too hard on just one hair will most likely break the threads in my opinion. I would not buy again.

Pros
  • Portable AV
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not very heavy

This spring was not as heavy as described. I mounted it on a bracket on the side of my rig with a 36" fiber optic antenna. As soon as I hit 45 mph, the antenna folded in the wind and swayed wildly. I need pliers to remove it. I was NOT happy with this purchase and very disappointed.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Ok

Procomm Heavy Duty Spring & High SWR

Usually Procomm products are good and I've never been disappointed, see that bare copper wire? Yes, this is your mean bare wire on bare metal NOT your SWR so now you know if you CANNOT tune your 102 pin antenna look in your "HEAVY DUTY SPRING" NOT a good ProComm you can do better. The center channel MUST be shielded or you could burn your large radio or recorder. I hope this helps 73 clicks clicks I'm gone

Pros
  • Antennas
Cons
  • Hard to tell
