📻 ProComm Im-AF Splitter - CB AM FM Radio Audio Stereo Antenna MultiPlexor Review

Bought this product to boost the radio signal with CB antennas. However, this device reduced the CB signal and increased radio reception. All connections were correct. The signal meter has confirmed that the CB signal has decreased. Device removed and CB antennas connected. Checked again with a signal meter, very strong reception. Block reinstalled again. Checked again. Back to weak signal on CB radio.

I used to have a Firestik version of something like this. It seemed to work, I got the radio and my CB picked up. but my SWR was UP to 12:1. which could damage my radio. So I tested it without the built in splitter and got a 1:1 SWR. dead. So I decided the Firestik deal was bad. I'm not saying they don't have quality antennas (I have a dual antenna (common mode) on my truck). I installed ProComm and got a 1:1 SWR. BINGO!

This splitter and another adapter allowed me to use the Antennax CB antenna for AM FM and CB. It looks great and sounds great. Note the maximum input power of 30W. All in all I have about $75 in the splitter including the required Motorola CB adapter to use the CB on it. Also remember that there is another splitter that allows you to use the CB on the factory VHF antenna. I tried this and got very poor CB performance. This splitter is not recommended.

I messed up the installation of my car radio. Honda brand antenna is very difficult to splice. Since I already had a CB antenna that I use, I decided to use this antenna for both my CB antenna and my car radio. I'm happy with the performance of this thing.
