Good but not good enough for irons and steamers

This is a good standard iron but when you use it and then put it on the ironing board water almost always squirts out of the feed opening. I don't know about you, but this really annoys me. In addition, it does not have an automatic switch-off. I would happily spend more for a larger and more feature-rich model.

Pros
  • A little above
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

You may have better luck

I bought this iron for my daughter who goes to college. Steam iron broke after 1 use. No, the iron does not heat up. It only ticks when it's on. I tried contacting Proctor Silex support through their website to get a replacement. No luck and it's been a few months. She had to go to Walmart and buy a new iron.

Quality iron at a very reasonable price

My wife is very short and doesn't want the iron to be too big for her hand. She really loves this product and has had another of the exact same make and model for years. Eventually it started to rust, which is quite common with an iron that has been in use for some time. The only place we could find this hardware was at Revain, and as the main supplier, it was only around $16. No other iron is so cheap. We highly recommend this product.

Terrible iron like a toy

Wow how small can you make an iron? The plate is very small, just a couple of steam holes. Although it looks like non-stick, it's not. It stuck to any fabric, pulled behind the ironing board cover and was therefore difficult to use. The heat regulator was almost useless. If you turn it down at all, the iron will stop heating. to see through, so there was a constant overflow that caused the water to overflow. This was returned. Does nobody make a decent steam iron anymore?
