Description of 🧷 DuraBoard 72818, 0.5-inch Diameter DuraHook Product

Ideal for storing hammers, sledge hammers, large hand tools and power tools when used with other durahooks. Innovative double locking system locks the hook in place with a locking tab that mounts to the pegboard from the front. Use on any 1/8-inch or 1/4-inch pegboard or tool board. Hooks mount vertically and horizontally in 4 distinct positions allowing the use of multiple hooks for large, heavy and odd-shaped items. Fixtures install from the front, so no need to remove the board for installation or repositioning of durahooks.

This is a great concept. Maybe this works better on DuraBoard? I have a standard perforated board and the screws pop out of the holes quite easily. Works well with light objects like a small hammer, glue gun, etc. I love that it doesn't fly off the plate every time I unhook the tool!

Very weak welds are suitable for Perforated Hooks

I bought these to hang lightweight fiberglass handled shovels in my garage. At first I was impressed with the hooks, until I hung ONE shovel and SNAP, the weld broke. Luckily I didn't have my truck in the garage at the time, otherwise I would have gotten a big dent. Needless to say I sent them back as they are not worth the high price. I got some standard pegboard hooks for 1/3 the price and they hold a couple of shovels well.

Pros
  • Perforated Hooks
Cons
  • Small Parts

Good product. for hooks for perforated boards

First you should use a thicker hardboard (pinboard) and not thin perforated cardboard. Depending on the plate thickness, I will supply you with smaller and larger screws. Years. I think it's a great product and well built.
