Absolute scrap. They tried to send it back but UPS wouldn't accept it even though the Revain return label was on the package. If they were used by beginners, they would probably give up woodworking.
I'm new to woodworking, I took the biggest chisels (that I needed) and worked with them until I had a good edge. They have a sharp edge to handle small and quick jobs. They work great.
You get what you pay for. I knew they were pretty cheap so I wasn't surprised they had some "Made in China" issues. The steel is quite soft and one of the points warped when I hit a fairly hard knot. Upper rings loosened, one came off. I had to beat everyone.
They want to be good chisels, but they're not. Of the 5 chisels in the pack, 4 appear to have bent shanks or poorly connected handles and are tilted either to the left or right of the face. The handle is not connected to the bit. One of the chisels already has a chip. I cannot recommend these. I will send them back.

I don't do much with them, so I didn't want to shell out for really good ones at this point.

Well I don't know why it's there in the first place and of course the metal is uneven and quirky. After unboxing I took the time to build a sharpening station and use a sharpening guide. Rub the back and sides a little to remove nicks and drop into the honing guide for 2 minutes to touch up the…
