staples cracked for the first 70.3 with no rumble/contact. The gas cap came off during a practice ride the week before the race. These are the ONLY 2 rides it has been used on since purchase.

So I just got mine, filled it with water and put it on a flat table top and when I got back to it. The thing was almost empty. So I'll try another new one to see how it goes. I hope I get one that's good for the job. I like the way it looks but wish it would work!

I love this hydration system. I attached it to my Profile Designs aero bars and trimmed the straw a bit so it was the perfect drinking level as I was aero. I haven't had any leaking issues and keep the round lid open all the time for quick filling.

This replaced the old tread design system. I have to say that sometimes I think they overestimate their products. It is not easy to remove and rearrange the bottle from the holder. Wrapping the ribbon requires small fingers. The quality is good but the plastic frame adds weight. They need to be redesigned and made thinner.

I also used half irons on the Olympic distance. Easy to fill, easy to drink, easy to clean. The hold for snacks is small. If you can wedge in some GU or blocks you will be fine. But don't put anything down that you're afraid of losing or it will definitely pop out. I didn't buy it for freight so I wasn't upset. Everything else is great.

The constant removal and replacement of the straw every time you drink is intended to be very problematic. Inserting a straw into the clamp hole and a clamp into the straw hole solved this problem for me. Straightens the straw and positions it perfectly for drinking from the airbar. I have no idea why it wasn't designed that way from the start. FYI, you will need a neoprene pad for the straw hole. Available from Profile Design or Home Depot/Lowes.
