You get what you pay for, it worked great until I needed it. After a week he stopped doing anything, triple checked the power and ground wires, he just passed out completely. It was built in communist China.

Light does not work properly, does not perform memory function, large sticker made in China, find out! I see the preform has other shift indicators for sale. If you have a high performance engine and you know the importance of proper RPM change when you look at PROFORM, THINK TWO.

I liked the size and packaging of the unit, but the front light stopped working after a few months. I checked the power and RPM signal but to no avail. Now it is only mounted on the steering column, does not work. I hope the seller reads this review and sends me a replacement. Good luck if you decide to buy this.

I bought this tach/gear indicator because I needed something small and it fitted the bill. The bottom broke when the box was opened, but a little super glue fixed it. I plugged it in and everything worked in my garage. I went about 1/2 mile and it stopped reading my RPMs and just showed 0. I checked all the wiring, there were no problems, so I had to return it.

I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews, maybe I'm lucky? Mine works fine on my 2006 Hayabusa. Be sure to attach with Velcro or tape to reduce vibration. Vibration kills small electronics. But everything works great. You will need 3 taps (size 22-18 AWG) for installation. Red is the switched power supply, black is chassis ground, green is the RPM signal. You can usually use the wires on the dash, which is what I did. All settings work well and are easy to understand to make changes…
