Does not work with Nikon z7 mirrorless cameras

Don't waste your time like me. I have tried everything and updated the firmware for my camera and my B10+ and this radio. Only worked in TTL mode. If you want to shoot manually, this won't work. If you need TTL then get it. If not, don't waste your time! I bought an old Profoto Air Remote transceiver and it works great!

Pros
  • Manual remote activation of all air flashes
Cons
  • Replacement availability

BIG SWING AND PROFOTO PROMAS

I can't figure out why Profoto updated Air Remote with TTL/HSS but then removed half the groups (goodbye D, E and F). It just really, really annoys me. Paul Buff's CyberCommander can control up to 16 lights, it hasn't been around for 10 years and the new Profoto remote can only control 3? It's just silly and if it wasn't for HSS (1/8000 shutter sync on my D850!) I'd go back and settle for the non-TTL version. Tip: If you're just in the studio, stick with the older model, which allows you toโ€ฆ

Pros

Profoto Air Remote TTL-N

First of all, I've been using the Pocket Master for a long time. I love these devices, but setting them up can be a chore at times. Having a receiver built into the flash is a really handy feature and the Profoto Air Remote fills that need. I've been using this device for a few weeks now and I can say that for the most part it works very well. Setting up and pairing with the flash is very easy. Convenient control of the model light via the remote control. The display and location on the remoteโ€ฆ

Pros

Cons
  • Very expensive

The Profoto Air Remote is the perfect complement to your Profoto B1 or B2 system. Here are the pitfalls of the device and the things you need to be aware of. First, contacts aren't always the best. I use two Nikon D750 cameras for photography, so I switch transmitters between cameras regularly. Almost every walk there was a series of 4 or 5 frames that turned black because the contacts just weren't getting the right information when using TTL. Fixing this problem is easy, you just slide theโ€ฆ
