The Profoto Air Remote is the perfect complement to your Profoto B1 or B2 system

The Profoto Air Remote is the perfect complement to your Profoto B1 or B2 system. Here are the pitfalls of the device and the things you need to be aware of. First, contacts aren't always the best. I use two Nikon D750 cameras for photography, so I switch transmitters between cameras regularly. Almost every walk there was a series of 4 or 5 frames that turned black because the contacts just weren't getting the right information when using TTL. Fixing this problem is easy, you just slide the device out and back in and it will work. The problem here is that if you record a wedding or event without repeats, you may miss a recording. The second piece of information is that you need to have a lot of AAA batteries on hand, the device will hold about 1000 pictures on one set of batteries. That's not bad, but as an event photographer who takes an average of 400-500 pictures per event, it means I change batteries every other event. These two comments above are the only negative points I can say about this transmitter. They may seem serious to some, but almost every lightning system, including strobes, misses, so the few I see are nothing to worry about. The battery issue is annoying but I still love this system very much and cannot recommend it highly enough.
