easy installation overall

works fine. The wiring was a bit confusing as it replaced a very old PD box that had different wiring. I liked the small size and weight, about half the size of the old device.

Pros
  • quick replacement
Cons
  • useless features

Perfect replacement for the old 30A converter in my caravan. grounding lug, positive terminal and negative terminal; plus 120V whip with plug. The fan is quiet and only runs for a short time. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Upgrades

Quiet, powerful, works great!

Works great! I used it to replace a converter in my 1998 camper trailer that was putting out way too much voltage. It is quiet, generates very little heat and has a stable output voltage. I would suggest buying a Charge Master to extend battery life. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Protection

Works great best in inverters

It was like the 180 from my old inverter. Much better! I'm a bit noisy but I can't hear it in the Airstream when the closet is closed. I had full power all day and night (all lights were on for a couple of hours) and had no trouble lighting the camper on shore power. Seems to charge quickly!

Surprise, surprise, something else inside.

Received the next day. However, the box was labeled PD9130. Inside the box was a PD9140 block. The wiring and circuit protection was already in place at 30 amps, not 40 amps, so I sent the PD9140 back in the box marked PD9130. The refund took so long that I bought the PD9130 in the right packaging from another seller. It works great. Progressive Dynamics makes a quality product. You only have problems with the map sharper.

Battery & Overheating Issues Fixed

I was having issues with my old wfco converter (the unit was overheating and the connections to the cooling fan somehow broke causing it to overheat and shut down completely) resulting in a dim light , which went out completely after 5 minutes. After purchasing this converter I was pleasantly surprised by everyone at how well made it is! it doesn't overheat as much as the old one but it sounds a bit louder when the fan starts up but to be honest it's not a problem for me, the battery had the…
