Works like a champ in launchers, chargers and portable power supplies

Update: Have been using it every day in a repair shop for a few years and it still works great. They're beaten pretty badly and today there are no problems. This is a very well made American product, I have 4 now. Works like a champ. I have several of these that I use daily in the shop and have never had any problems or problems. Compared to my Midtronics and this unit, the AC ripple was slightly higher at a 50 amp load. I code and reprogram them fairly confidently. Best made in the USA.

Thumbs up for the PD9280 charger

This was a replacement for the 70Amp charger/converter that was installed on my sailboat. Installation was easy and performance is spot on. I inserted the hand control key and it seems to charge my 460Ah battery quickly. The only information I want is a set of curves showing output voltage versus current for three modes of operation. Most don't care, but I'm a techie. Bottom line, I would recommend this device to anyone who needs a reliable battery bank charger.

The best converter on the market.

My 2015 Keystone Raptor after another brand failed. The existing device was actually buried, I remounted the PD 9280V in a more accessible and well ventilated area. The performance is far superior to the 100 amp converter that came with my trailer. Once installed, no lights dim when I turn on the extra lights like it did with the previous converter. Battery charging is much better and has Charge Wizard circuitry built-in. With a desulfation circuit, this is a true 4-stage battery…

Lots of power for our RV

Our original power converter lasted less than two years in our new RV (it was made by a different company). We read a lot about this brand and the rave reviews were true. I installed this new converter with no problems. Simply route all wiring from the old unit and install to this new unit in the same manner. It works great.
