Overpriced Loupe Disappoints Jewelry Makers

After I put it to the test, I found this loupe to be completely useless for my arts and crafts needs. The magnification was weak and the dome distortion made it difficult to accurately view my work. The only pro was the size, making it easy to store. Unfortunately, the cons far outnumber any convenience. Spend your money wisely and invest in a better quality loupe.

Pros
  • Provides a clear, magnified view of small details.
Cons
  • May cause eye strain or discomfort with prolonged use.

Great little magnifying glass!

I'm a gardener and during the gardening season I have this in my car to detect plant diseases and pests. It's super comfortable and durable. It's also fun for art projects (my son and I used it to take close-ups of our pencil strokes while shading and creating gradients) and general forest exploration. I need things that can roll around in the trunk of my car and not get stuck. destroyed and it seems to fit the bill nicely!

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Mines are really bad. The sharp part of the lens is very sharp.

I bought mine at a local camera store. Mine has a different Pro-Master logo, but it's their 10x dome magnifier. Mines are really bad. The sharp part of the lens is very small in an already small loupe. Most of the lens is heavily distorted. I have small hairs and a spot on the glass that is a bit sharp. I wanted to use this and a 3x magnifier to view 6x7 slides on a light table. I'll try to return mine and spend a little more on a new one. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Damaged
