BEST Card Reader

All other card readers I looked at were cheap and flimsy. It's a metal case and the CF card fits perfectly inside, reducing the possibility of damaging the contacts upon insertion. I am very happy with this purchase.

Stopped working after a few months. Mac won't install drive

Looks good but edges are sharp. worked great but no longer turned on or mounted on my daughters or my Macbook Pro. I had to buy another reader (of a different brand) for my daughter.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Bad experience

It just doesn't work

I work at a store that sells them. I tried three different readers, all with the same result. The reader will be permanently disconnected if connected. It runs on Windows 10. Although I bought this reader for $20, it's not even worth it as it doesn't work. Save money, buy a quality product.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poor instructions

That does not work. - Memory card reader

Does not work. I am using a MacBook Pro. I bought a reader from a store in town yesterday. Worked on about 8 cards. There are about 8 more to read. He stopped working. I tried everything I could think of to get it working again. Doesn't even read cards that have already been read. We went to the company's website. It is useless to help troubleshoot the device. I also checked their return policy and it requires all packaging to be included. I do not have it anymore. I hope the store I bought it…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Not a bad reader but overpriced

It was a good temporary fix but I'll be replacing mine. Comes with USB 3 and USB C cables, can be used as a hub for external drives when connected via USB C. Stable card placement is a plus. However, the SD slot is not suitable for installing a card. My concerns are quality and workmanship. The reader scratches my desk while dangling (because the cord is short). Raw metal feels rough, rough on my desk and ultimately feels like junk. Promaster is low quality and this product is no different. The
