Fantastic tool allowing complete visibility over IT assets

The flexibility of this software is amazing! It allows me to monitor my servers, applications and services in realtime with ease!! I can also easily create dashboards for all sorts of data points that are important from an operational perspective (CPU load/memory usage etc). There isn't much out there like it at present so you have nothing else be doing if your looking into something similar. Monitoring our infrastructure using Grafana which provides us great insight about what's going wrong…

Pros
  • easy setup too as we just need one or two yaml files per service monitored.
Cons
  • Good but not great

I like that it is easy to setup, has great documentation for all aspects of its functionality (including custom metrics), handles metric data at an aggregate level in addition to granular ones as well as being able to handle large amounts of data. The UI can be improved with better labels/naming conventions & more intuitive dashboards. Also would love if there was some way to have this run continually without needing manual intervention from us - e.g., via cron job or something similar. We…

Pros
  • Can easily integrate many other tools together using various exporters provided along side native support built in integration between promql languages / graphite +
Cons
  • Will fit

A powerful monitoring solution at an affordable price

I like that it's very easy to use, and you can do a lot with it without having to learn too much. The dashboard is also really nice. There are some things that could be improved - for example, there aren't any alerts for HTTP errors or errors from other systems. It would be great if we had those alerts. Also, there isn't anything in the UI about how many requests per second your server is handling - this would be useful to know! We have been using Prometheus to monitor our API servers, MySQL…

Pros
  • Easy setup; lots/tons (not an exaggeration)of metrics available out the box..you don’t need extra software installed either.
  • The ability not only tell which service has issues but why they did so
Cons
  • Mostly okay, but...
