Large Heavy Tool

Heavy Duty Tool. Works exactly as advertised. Easily tightens and cuts flush nylon cable ties with just enough tension to prevent cable ties from twisting. Everything is done with a pull of the trigger. No twisting needed like cheap plastic guns. Also better than pliers which break ties and don't cut flush. Very satisfied.

Stopped holding the tail after about 50 uses

I bought this to tie up wire harnesses on an airplane so zip ties are a must. This tool worked well initially, but after about 50 bindings the notched pawl that presses on the end to allow the tool to tighten the binding began to slip. I have cleaned the teeth to make sure there is no plastic debris on them but they are still slipping. When I manually push the dog, the tool works fine, so the spring doesn't seem strong enough. You will need this tool

I have used my boss' Panduit version almost every day for years. It is necessary. But when I went shopping, oops! This tool costs less than 1/4 the price and works the same way. I used it for the first time last night and it worked flawlessly on about two dozen ties. I can only hope it lasts. If you're a pro and use ties every day or don't even think about spending $300 on a hand tool, don't even think about buying Panduit. But if the price puts you off, give it a try.
