I use it to stick watercolor paper on it and I love it. I let the paint dry before taking it off and never found it to remove paper fragments. Didn't leave it on paper for long but thought it was great after leaving it on my watercolor paper for up to 2 weeks. It works so well that I ordered more to make sure I didn't run out.

I have not tried this product and may not be able to. The photo used is somewhat misleading. I ordered this tape because I thought I had a wider tape (according to the photo) but a smaller width that would not be suitable for sticking watercolor paper. I think it is masking tape. It's great for keeping my parchment paper on paper charts and other prints for tracking purposes. It removes a microscopic layer on some types of paper, but most I've used it on hasn't damaged the paper, and I was able to remove the tape once it was done with no side effects. It's my fault for not researching this tape more. I highly recommend you look elsewhere if you plan to use this on watercolor paper. No matter what paper I use (cheap, professional) it rips my paper when it comes time to remove it. I was able to salvage my work by trimming the ruined edges with a utility knife, but you may not want to do this to your work. Look for an artist's book instead, if that's what it's for! As much as you love tape this is a great product. I'm an architect and have been drawing freehand for over 45 years so I used a lot of drawing tape. I think this is the best I've ever used. It sticks well yet lifts without damaging regular paper or tracing paper and leaving no residue. It still tends to roll under the bar but seems to hold up a little better than other brands.
