ProTeam Backpack Vacuum Switch Cord Assembly 101610: Enhanced Cleaning Convenience and Efficiency Review

The male/female electrical connectors did not match the female/male electrical connectors on the car. So we had to disassemble and replace them.

The transaction went well, but the product did not have instructions on how to connect because the new switch had all the wires in a different color than the original.

Worked fine for me but the two female connectors are a little narrower for the fork connectors on the vacuum cleaner. Everything else is good and works as expected.

Attention all professional users, this is not a product as described, do not buy this item as it does not work well, it is a defective switch. Do not buy this product, you are wasting your time and money.

Next time I will order a more expensive device. The rocker switch in this device will fail after moderate use as it cycles on and off, and this rocker switch will not withstand the arc for very long. I hope it will be more expensive.

This was a replacement after the original switch melted and this replacement switch melted after about a year of daily use. It has withstood a lot of daily use which is why I still give it 2 stars but I don't think the switch should melt like that; and it's a security risk. It needs to be redesigned with a higher quality switch.

This is the perfect replacement if you have a pro team backpack. The nice thing is that you can even buy a switch in the box (if and when it comes back on). I'm not saying the switches they use are bad - they just get a lot of use which wears them down - I have a super vacuum that's about 20 years old and I think the only original part at the moment is the body. I'm guessing it's had 5 engine changes in that time and lots of other small parts but it was worth the fix - I love Proteam vacuums…
