GREAT CASE FOR A GREAT PRICE

This case is perfect for the price. I use it for traveling with filmmaking equipment and it's sturdy, rolls easily, and is cheaper than any other type of similar hard case. The best thing is it's really light so I can fill it with more equipment and still come in under the 70lb weight limit. My only dislikes were I had to order the front end carry handle separately (you need it for comfortable walking, but it really should just come standard with the case), and the little cotter pin you use to…

Cons
  • The locking mechanism is difficult to use

Great for spearguns

Used this for my speargun and scuba gear. Didn't have any issues using it as a checked bag on delta and made it all the way to Tunisia with no problems. It's a great product

Durable Protection for Valuables

If you are looking at a ski bag, it is safe to assume that you have a skis that you value enough to travel with and try to protect. The Sportube is expensive but durable and provides excellent protection. I've travelled with two pairs of skis on four occasions since purchasing this before last ski season and felt compelled to return here to write a review. 5/5

Pros
  • A must-have accessory for any ski/snowboard enthusiast
Cons
  • The case may have limited warranty protection

Works Great for Ski's + Snowboard

I'm in the middle of a identity crisis because i love skiing and snowboarding. I was able to fit 2 snowboards and a pair of skis to fly from MI to Tahoe just fine! I had my ski boots and some other gear in there as well, but ended up taking my ski boots on the plane with me after i weighed in too heavy (50lbs on Delta). I took the bindings off the boards to help them fit, and only brought one pair of bindings with me (I have a powder and groomer/park board). Bindings fit loose in the sport…

Pros
  • Ideal for traveling by plane, car, or train
Cons
  • The case may not be suitable for international travel due to customs regulations

Well made and great price

Single securing pin was a bit troubling and complicated enough that it has a TSA instruction sticker to ensure they close it correctly.

Pros
  • ‎Series 3
Cons
  • The case may not fit all ski or snowboard sizes

The Series 3 has ample storage. But the wheels and its axles are not designed for such a heavy travel case when loaded because the axles for these wheels cannot bear the weight of a fully loaded series 3 case under all travel conditions and rough handling of this case at the airport during loading and unloading. Otherwise, I was happy with the storage capacity of the series 3. The series 3 case would be spectacular if this company can put in some super duty axles and wheels and more resilient…

Pros
  • Affordable and cost-effective
Cons
  • The case may not be able to accommodate different ski/snowboard boot sizes

Good but heavy for airline

Great carrying case in every way. The problem is with 3 skis the weight is Well over the airlines 50 Lbs limit and you get hit with over weight fee. It’s cheaper to check In two ski bags/cases instead of this.

Pros
  • Perfect for both beginners and professionals
Cons
  • The case may be too heavy and require a luggage carrier device

Great travel case for a snowboard and boots

This tube is great for my snowboard and boots. I also threw in my wife's ski boots. I took a couple of ratchet straps on my trip and strapped it to the top of the expedition with ease. I ordered a Sport Tube Easy Pull Handle only to find out the series 3 sporttube includes one.

Pros
  • MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY – Each Series 3 travel case is Made in the USA has a 5-year limited manufacturer’s warranty
Cons
  • The straps are flimsy and may break

pretty good best in my review

These days it is cheaper to rent when you get to your destination than to fly with one of these things.however it did fit very comfortably, 2 pairs of skis, 2 pairs of poles, hats, mittens all the gear you need for your skiing experience. It would fit 3 pairs very easily but then you have to pack all the bulky clothing in your suit case.

Pros
  • Waterproof and weather-resistant, providing extra protection against the elements
Cons
  • The case may not be available in certain countries

Great Hard Case on my review.

The handle does come with it now. I took this case with three pairs of skis to Whistler. I had some ratcheting straps which I used to strap it to my roof for the drive to the airport. It did great in the airport, whelled around just fine and made me feel more secure about these skisham the ones in the soft bag. It counted as only one checked bag for one person.

Pros
  • Takes up minimal storage space when not in use
Cons
  • The case may not be suitable for users with limited mobility

you could easily take these on a plane

Shipped snowboards from Virginia to Whistler BC, you could easily take these on a plane. The Sportube held two snowboards and two pairs of boots, weight was around 45lb.

Pros
  • Ski Bags
Cons
  • The material of the case is not breathable, which can lead to moisture accumulation

Plenty of room and no worries!

I love this case. It has been great for carrying my snowboard on the plane - I don't have to worry about my board being crushed as I do with a soft carry bag. It is big enough to hold two boards if I need to, or I can pack inside of it all of my boarding gear (pants, jacket, helmet gloves, fleece, base layers, boots. literally everything I need for 2-3 days of boarding. leaving me free to check or carry fewer bags.

Pros
  • ‎2016
Cons
  • The case may not have enough pockets or slots for additional gear

Solid Travel Case for Skis & Snowboards

Really love this travel case! We bought and used this for our ski trip. It's a great case for multiple skis or snowboards and protects it well when checking it onto the plane. Looking out the plane window and seeing how the baggage handlers threw the luggage and ski bags, I was glad that I had our skis in this hard case. Our skis made it safely through shipments for our ski trip (roundtrip) in this hard case. It also has two wheels and a handle so that I can conveniently pull the case for easy…

Don't buy the handle!

This product already comes with the easy pull handle. I had read reviews that suggested buying the handle but they are mistaken. Save yourself time and money. I cannot comment too much on the actual product because my trip is still months away. It does appear to be well made and should do just fine.

Pros
  • ‎14 Pounds
Cons
  • The case is not durable enough for long-term use

It seems like a no brainer to get a hard case despite .

I feel confident in the protection this provides my skis and husband’s snowboard on plane rides. It seems like a no brainer to get a hard case despite the increased cost to protect equipment worth nearly a thousand dollars. The only problem I had was that the handle ripped off while in possession of the airline and we had to order a $16 replacement.

Pros
  • Super excited to use this for the upcoming season, 3 trips planned and now my b
Cons
  • The case is heavy and difficult to carry

Awesome protection for your skis

The Sportube series 3 is an awesome product for protecting you skis while flying to ski destinations. I had no problems with breakage of the Sportube itself nor did i experience any damage to the skies. What the other reviews say is true, you are not going to be able to put 3 skies in the Sportube and be under the 50# limit for airlines. I put two sets of skies in the tube and some, but not all, of my clothing into the tube for packing. I just added clothing until i reached 49#'s. It will sure…

Pros
  • Provides a great way to organize and store your gear
Cons
  • The case may not be waterproof in heavy rain or snow

Great travel aid good for me

Holds my daughter's skis, ski poles, ski boots, snowboard, and boarding boots. Is a bit heavy with all of it in there but is fine as long as she's not traveling by air.

Pros
  • Offers great value for its price
Cons
  • The case may not provide enough security for expensive equipment

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great, durable case with one small design issue.

I am very satisfied with this case. It was used to ship two snowboards with bindings and boots via FedEx. On the return shipment, I picked it up from FedEx with a FedEx worker's boot print on it. The boards were well protected inside. It is telescopic. When empty it can be stored at less than four feet. Then it expands to whatever length you need to fit your gear. The wheels are small but work well. The case is so light, I rarely rolled it. For a long haul on a smooth floor like an airport…

Pros
  • ‎5 year manufacturer's warranty
Cons
  • The case may scratch or damage the equipment inside

Overall pleased with the travel protection it provides -Unfortunately if your restricted to 50 lb per bag - This will only hold 2 sets of adult skis at 45lb total grossLuckily with platinum status - Weight max is 70 lb which worked perfect for 3 sets

Pros
  • Easy to assemble, dismantle, and clean
Cons
  • The case may be too difficult to maneuver in crowded areas

Great Ski Travel carrier

Great product. Easy to use, protects the skis, fits a ton of clothes in addition to the skis if you roll it up and stick it between the skis. Watch busting the 50 pound airport limit for most travelers. Is also very easy to strap this case to the roof of a car.

Pros
  • Very good choice. Use for lacrosse sticks. Needs a built in name spot. Well built, 5 year warranty
Cons
  • The case is not waterproof
