18 – 3/8" Locking Pegs. Pegs can be easily moved to a different position on the rail. Socket rail comes standard with tape backing to hold the socket rail in place. Each Peg has a locking detent that holds the socket firmly in place. This inexpensive locking socket holder keeps your sockets organized and not cost a ratchet and extension. Made in USA.

Perfect Addition to Any Automotive Toolkit

This socket backing locking system has made organizing my tools a breeze! It's easy to use, durable, and has saved me so much time searching for the right socket. My only complaint is that it does take up a bit of space in my tool tray .Overall, I highly recommend this product to any automotive mechanic who wants to optimize their toolkit organization..

Flimsy and Inconvenient Tool Tray

The Protoco socket tray is a disappointment for the automotive industry .The sockets do not stay in place, and the backing locking system is difficult to engage. The tray is made of flimsy material and not durable enough for everyday use. While the sizing is accurate, the overall design falls short of expectations..

The hated sockets with spring terminals are the biggest shortcoming.

I've had these rosette rails for decades; but my last purchase was from Snap-On in 2006. I have about twenty guides total, 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2". They used to be made with "pins" on which the socket slid. The old pin system is fine. New ones Production...like my 2006 Snap-On units - use a molded plastic spring clip and I honestly HATE it.The clips hold the socket in place enough that the spring clip snaps out of the guide.I then have to pre-thread the spring clip digging out the end of the socket
