📐 Baseboard Protractor: High-Precision Measuring Tool for Carpentry Review

This made the finishing of the carpentry a lot easier. Instead of repeated trial and error, I was able to measure twice and cut once. Highly recommended if you're making more than a few angled cuts.

I had to wait a bit until I had time to finish my project and now that I have the time I want to say that this is the perfect tool for making work look professional. Believe me, I thought the angles were exactly 90 degrees! ok some were but some were off by a few degrees which would make the joint look bad. The same applies to outside corners. So, if you are planning to do editing work, this tool will surely save you a lot of frustration and extra work.

I had to cut shoe lasts with some tricky inside and outside corners. These protractors do exactly what they're supposed to do - you hold them up against a wall and straighten them out, then read the angle off a (correct) dial. Put that angle on the saw and you're done. The instructions are a bit sparse, but with a few YouTube videos and a little practice it works well. If I had done a larger project I might have invested in an aluminum or one with better metrics, but it was fine for my needs.

A little confusing to read but not bad. The real problem is that this reads like a perfect 90° angle for an angle that's actually around 95°, making it useless. I tried to adjust the reading wheel, but it won't adjust. I'm a carpenter and this type of tool is great for making perfect bevels, but only if it's perfectly calibrated.
