💻 Orinoco Silver 802.11b Wireless PC Card Review

I bought two Orinoco Silver PC cards, one for my old G3 Powerbook (Wallstreet) and one for my daughter's Dell Latitude laptop. Both work great and provide very good signals and data transfer speeds anywhere in the house. Installation on a Dell Latitude (running Win ME) was easy. The hardware works fairly well with Linux, Mac and Win2K, but the product has changed so much since Lucent originally released that it's a big deal, current drivers and find documentation. The current owner's tech support is unresponsive and the customization software suffers compared to other vendors like Apple. it works, it works pretty well.

I bought Orinoco Silver for my Sony Vaio (Win98) to work with LinkSys wireless router. I bought this card instead of my own Linksys PC card because the reviews say it has a much longer range.
