This product is really very good. I was very concerned after reading the critical comments that I would dry up, but thankfully that is not the case. This is an amazing product. Negative reviews are only from people using it incorrectly. First, it's very easy to remove if you apply a *thick* layer. It's latex, for God's sake. Second, it's very easy to get it perfect if you let it overlap the nail a bit and then use a cuticle pusher (included) to push it away from the nail while it dries and along the edges of the nail bed (again) it's there Latex.
