Good quality but didn't fit my Pumpkin stereo.

It's actually strange that I can't find a Pumpkin install kit for this particular Pumpkin stereo. The quality looked pretty good. I tried 4 sets and this was my favorite, it just didn't fit.

It's a generic kit which means it needs to be modified to work.

Product does not fit advertised vehicle. And you can consider that semi-universal if you have to try to find a suitable spot and cut, screw or shave part of a product to make it work.

The cage itself works fine but why include outer liner when.

The cage itself works fine, but why put in an outer panel when it doesn't even have clips to attach it to? Literally can't strap yourself to anything because it has no clips. MINUS ONE STAR

Instructions drop on Car Electronics Accessories

Instructions are useless. The sliding plates attached to the head unit (stereo) can be screwed in any direction. and still insert into the chassis. Problem. They can only be released if they are correctly installed. otherwise the housing must be removed.

Wasted Money On Car Electronics Accessories

The trim ring doesn't even fit on the cage. The cage is too big for the Pioneer AVH-X390BS. There were no screws in the package. I'm going to put a new controller in over the weekend. Now I have to get out into town and hope the store has what I need so I can install it on Monday if I'm lucky. I will not recommend this product. Waste of time and money for me. Kind regards, MECP has been certified since 1992.

Works well: Car AV installation

Works very well. Very easy to install. I would recommend adding some sort of back support to the unit to hold it up as this kit only attaches to the front edge. This is the second set I've bought. I had to remove the first one to fix the dashboard and damaged the outer shell trying to get it out. The packaging could have been better. Everything goes in the box except for the decorative strip, which is simply glued to the outside of the box.
