I use this around litter boxes and in the toilets of my 70 year old house. Infused with charcoal so it doesn't mask smelly odors, just neutralizes odors.

I bought a used car a few months ago and there was a strong smell of the cleaning product that was used to prepare the car for sale. I put one of those flushing bags in the driver's door pocket and after 2 days the smell of detergent was barely noticeable.

I mean. I don't think it had anything to do with the musty smell in my house. I think the smell was simply blocked by the aromas of candles. I think it's one of those things that spirit is more important than matter, people tell you it absorbs smells and your brain believes them. Try them, they are not expensive.

These air purifiers work wonders. I have one in the car and in the laundry basket. I buy small thin ones to put in my shoes. I also used this in a musty attic room where the costumes for the annual event were being stored and the musty smell was almost gone. Thanks to him, everything smells fresh, even in my sports shoes, which I prefer to wear without socks. Even slightly damp towels and washcloths in the laundry basket do not stink.

I hung one of these bags on a fan in a small bedroom and left the other in a cup holder in my car where the fans blow on it. The smells in the bedroom are still there, as are the smells in the car. There is almost no effect, if any. If you're expecting to remove odors from a room by putting a bag of charcoal in it, you might be wrong. Just remove/clean the source of the odor, it won't help much.
