Very little food. Mostly crumbs.

We subscribe to this food and are usually very satisfied. However, the last package contains mainly shredded pieces. There's far more dust in every shovel than morsels. Our next bag won't be here for a month and I need to order a bag that will last by then because we have two weeks of food left. Not sure if this is a shipping or factory issue but I'm not happy as this bag is not value for money.

Pros
  • Good marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Availability in exchange

Too much junk in the food

I had this on subscribe and save and never had a problem until the last bag arrived 2 weeks ago. Not only was the outside of the bag completely different than what it was, but there was a lot of junk inside as there wasn't a better way to tell what was inside. It almost looks like shredded mini wheat dust, if that makes sense. Thea wouldn't touch him and she eats the most disgusting things if given the chance so that should tell you something. I don't know what happened but I will not order…

My dog likes it and doesn't spit it out

I like that my dog doesn't spit it out or his gas isn't that bad when he farts which he does a lot. In my opinion, lamb and oats are better, because with salmon, the head always smells like fish, which is not the case with lamb. I have a big dog but he likes the size of these pieces. I've included a photo of the pellets next to the dime and one on top of the dime for size reference. If you find it useful, please click the utility icon. Many Thanks.

The new formula is bullshit

My dog has been doing this for a few months now. The first bag we received was the "old" formula and she loved it. She had no problem eating it and it suited her sensitive stomach. The last bag I received was of the 'new' formula and didn't eat a single bite. I've tried toppers and other baits so I don't waste a whole bag of bait but no bones. The same thing happened to my older dog who took ProPlan with a different prescription. This new formula is absolute rubbish. We have been exclusively…

Good as advertised for dogs

I have a 3 year old Doberman who has struggled with skin allergies his whole life. Over the years I have taken him to regular vets, animal dermatologists and various breeders. All her recommendations did not help to get rid of acne and itchy skin. After spending over $110 for a year on a 25-pound bag of "vet-prescribed only" dry dog food, I found it didn't help and often gave him diarrhea. After reading the description of Purina Pro Plan Focus Sensitive Skin & Stomach I decided to give it a…

Fixed many of our dog's allergy issues

Our dog has every allergy imaginable, including chicken, beef and corn. She gets her monthly shots and prescription shampoo, she was still having issues and our vet said it must be a food allergy. We switched to this food without making the recommended switch because she was having so much itching and rashes and within a week the itching was gone and the rashes on her tummy were crusted and gone by the next week. Plus our dog loves it! She knocks him out like you wouldn't believe it. I give it…

My dog loves this food!

This food was one of the best decisions I made for my dog. My dog came to me thin, very itchy, with dry/irritated skin, watery eyes, poor coat quality, bloating and frequent loose stools. I knew I had to find good food for him. At first I was very reluctant to feed him the Purina brand because I was prejudiced against it. However, people kept recommending it to me and I finally gave in and tried it out for him. I bought the lamb mix as experience has shown that this dog does not like fish. Well
