Thread breakage and floss

I bought this thread to make masks. The thread kept breaking when I used it as an upper thread, no matter the tension or whatever I was doing. It works great as a bobbin thread, but I'm not experienced enough to make it work any other way. Not a total loss as I still use it with higher quality upper threads.

When opening the coil, the thread looks thin

Had to rethread the sewing machine after a short distance due to repeated thread breakage. Finished a small project for which I bought thread and threw away the remaining spools.

  • sewing
Cons
  • boring packaging

STAY AWAY! Pretty cheap!

Apparently the same brand sold at the Dollar Store. It got stuck in my tensioner and when I could get it to sew it really sucked. I tried giving it to my sister who has a newer car and just felt like she didn't want it. She broke the thread with her hands.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • Small Parts

NOT for use with sewing machines

Thread is NOT good quality. At least it's not intended for use with sewing machines. The thread breaks and snaps in the needle. For me it was a waste of money since I bought it for my sewing machine. She got tangled in the spool and broke several times (each time while refueling the machine), she had "bumps" that could catch on the needle. I do NOT recommend this thread for projects that require the strength and quality of thread.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Unfashionable
