Both power supplies were not included in the scope of delivery. I don't know if that works, but if they can't even figure out how both power supplies fit in the box, then I suspect their quality control isn't very good. Pretty frustrating to deal with as a customer. EDIT: The company contacted me when I received the defective unit and quickly replaced the item. The previous unit was defective but they sent a new one and everything seems to be working. It's incredibly rare for an Amazon companyโ€ฆ

I bought this unit to amplify my Mac Pro signal for my recording studio. I figured I might as well hook up an Xfinity cable box to switch between the two sources. In a nutshell. I receive videos from both devices with no problems. However, I get no sound. Searched the whole internet to find out what the problem could be. The expander claims that it broadcasts both audio and video. is it still true Does it require a special Cat 5 or 6 Ethernet cable? I also bought a new ethernet. The televisionโ€ฆ

I've just done preliminary testing on this one, please read to the end to see my next experiments. This device has 2 boxes and 2 power supplies. The transmitter has an HDMI input and output, you simply place it between the playback device and the local display. I have it between my Mac and my TV monitor. The receiver has an HDMI output. This is related to your remote TV. Both boxes also have a LAN port for Category 6 Ethernet cables to connect 2 devices. Each box also has a 5V input thatโ€ฆ
